Karl Triebes

Executive Vice President of Product Development and Chief Technical Officer

Karl Triebes has served as Executive Vice President of Product Development and Chief Technology Officer for F5 Networks since August 2004. He is responsible for overseeing the company's technology roadmap and leading F5's engineering team. Triebes has a successful track record of driving the development of enterprise networking and next-generation telecommunications products, including Layer 4-7 switches. Prior to joining F5, Triebes was CTO and Vice President of Engineering at Foundry Networks in San Jose, California, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of corporate product architectures, including the technology roadmap. Triebes currently serves on the board of directors for the Washington Technology Industry Association. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University.
