F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking (ADN), today announced new comprehensive sales and sales engineering training programs for its channel partners around the world. These offerings are designed to illustrate the value of F5® solutions and enable resellers and distribution partners to effectively address the application delivery needs of their customers. The new web-based training tools and accreditation programs will be available at no cost to help ensure that partners can effectively articulate how F5 solutions support customers’ cloud, virtualization, and data center initiatives. In turn, the programs also help increase partner profitability and enhance partners’ ability to add value to their customers’ environments.
“As an extension of our global UNITY program, these offerings provide partners with the information and tools to clearly communicate the value of F5 technology,” said Dean Darwin, VP of Worldwide Channels at F5. “By augmenting our partner training programs to capture the breadth of F5’s application delivery and storage optimization capabilities, we’re ultimately helping partners forge deeper sales engagements and enabling customers to take advantage of everything F5 can do for their organizations.”
The new Sales and Technical Accreditation programs are designed to establish a consistent and powerful learning methodology for F5’s growing network of partners worldwide. Upon completion of the new training, partners will have the knowledge required to better recognize sales opportunities, map specific client needs to the F5 portfolio, define clear use cases, and ensure deeper engagements with customers. By building the skills of dedicated sales teams worldwide, the new programs will enable F5’s partner network to more effectively address sales opportunities and help customers implement flexible solutions to meet changing needs and business priorities.
Highlights of F5’s new offerings include:
“As a full service solutions provider, it’s imperative that the vendors we partner with provide first-class learning opportunities so we can continuously familiarize ourselves with emerging technologies,” said Andy Bristow, Director of Technology at HP Information Security. “With these training offerings, we can ensure that new sales personnel rapidly become effective by engaging with F5 and driving new client opportunities.”
“By refreshing its partner education efforts, F5 is reaffirming its commitment to supporting partners with the best resources available,” said Sven Heinsen, Director, Business Solutions at Dimension Data, Germany. “F5 has grown significantly over the years, and we’re pleased to see that this growth has been accompanied by the creation of an expanded set of training materials to support the partner community, as well as a broadening customer base.”
“The training modules allow F5 partners to integrate a flexible, yet structured approach to sales and technical instruction,” said Jason Samide, Solutions Engineer at Accuvant. “With these new offerings from F5, we can further differentiate ourselves from the competition by providing enhanced market expertise and added value for customers.”
“F5 has stepped up its considerable game by introducing these new materials,” said Christian Grusemann, Business Unit Director Security, IT Security Consulting Group at Computacenter. “Our wish list has included enhanced sales and technical resources, and these new offerings will sharpen our knowledge of F5’s versatile product suite, and in turn, help our customers deploy agile IT solutions.”
Sales and Technical Accreditation programs will be available to F5 partners at no cost. Technical Accreditation is available now, and broader Sales Accreditation training will be available in the first half of calendar year 2011. Training materials will initially be available worldwide in English, and F5 plans to offer additional language support looking forward.
