Backup
Backup is the routine copying of data to ensure its protection in the event of data loss through accidental deletion, equipment failure, or some other mishap. As more and more data is created and stored for longer periods of time, backup costs and the "backup window" (the time allocated to complete a backup operation) can increase to unmanageable levels.
