Data Migration
Data migration is the movement of files between heterogeneous file servers. Projects such as file server consolidation, Network Attached Storage (NAS) consolidation, lease rollovers, platform upgrades, and vendor switches often involve data migration. These migrations can be costly business disruptions, requiring service outages and complex manual reconfiguration.
