Secure application delivery includes any measures intended to protect sensitive data from eavesdropping and other unauthorized access.

Achieving secure application delivery can involve a number of measures, including deploying a Web application firewall to protect the applications themselves against compromises; encrypting data as it traverses public networks, often with the aid of SSL offloading; and maintaining end-point security for remote users through use of an SSL VPN.
