F5 Demonstrates Enhanced Live App Migration Between Clouds

In this video we will demonstrate how to perform a secure live migration of a VM from one cloud to another, without downtime, and without user session or active connection disruption using F5’s BIG-IP® LTM, GTM, WAN acceleration and VMware vSphere.

Until now, it has been difficult if not impossible to accomplish VM migrations over long distances without disrupting connections or affecting application user sessions. Traditional VMotion today is limited to a single L2 broadcast domain, and Storage VMotions are even more restrictive. Additionally, IP address space limitations make management cumbersome at best. Combining F5 and VMware technologies, live application migrations are now possible, even over thousands of miles.
