Acopia® ARX® 101 - Introduction to Adaptive Resource Switching

This four-day course is designed to help students learn about the architecture of the Acopia ARX Family, along with configuration, administration, and basic troubleshooting. Students will also learn how to pre-qualify storage to be virtualized and how to design namespaces for CIFS, NFS, and multi-protocol environments, as well as configuration for file, age, and load balancing policies. This hands-on course includes lectures, labs, and discussions.

Audience

Anyone who virtualizes storage and who is responsible for installing ARX on the network.

Prerequisites

  • An understanding of NFS and CIFS protocols at a high level
  • A basic understanding of server administration (RedHat/Windows/Network Appliance)
  • A familiarity with Microsoft Management Console
  • The ability to mount NFS reports and CIFS shares on a client

Student Note:

Students must provide their own laptops. If your laptop is running Linux/Solaris, it should have a CIFS client (for example, Samba). Recommended software for Labs: SSH Client (Optional).
