Devesh Mittal is Director of Products at Volterra and is responsible for defining Volterra’s road map and technical architecture of security products. He comes from a broad and diverse technology background from building scalable web applications to designing networking ASICs for data centers. Earlier in his career, Devesh has held senior engineering roles working on CPU architecture, network processor design, and hardware accelerators with Innovium, Nvidia, Ericsson, and Aruba Networks.
This blog will deal with techniques we use to secure the platform against targeted attacks from the network — from the Internet as well as from inside. Since apps are no longer constrained to any physical location, traditional perimeter-based firewalls and signature-based security solutions are no longer effective.
