Cloudy skies in late July couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm at the annual F5 Summer Party and Dunk Tank Fundraiser in Seattle.
Hundreds of F5ers gathered in the headquarter campus courtyard next to the Puget Sound, intent on depositing their bosses in the chilly dunk tank water. And, of course, to support a worthy cause.
Seattle F5ers raised nearly $30,000 for neurological research and uncompensated care programs at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Over the last four years, the company has donated almost $100,000 to the programs.
Silent auction items ranged from an Apple Watch and El Gaucho gift cards to a meet-and-greet with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. But there was nothing silent about the crowds congregated around the dunk tank, where F5ers took aim at soaking top execs, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Andy Reinland, who’s been the driving force behind the annual fundraiser.
While the weather was dreary, the spirited F5ers—fueled by bar-b-q washed down with local beer and cider—won the day with yet another good turn for the community.
