Survey Incentive Program - Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF RECEIVING AN INCENTIVE.
1. Purpose and Eligibility
F5 is working to enhance the digital experience of our website for our readers. This interview will be used to aid in identifying user experience and design opportunities for improvements across the F5 Labs website.
This Interview Incentive Program (the "Program") is open to legal residents of any country worldwide, except the following excluded jurisdictions, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is greater) at the time of participation. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Program is not open to residents of: (a) any country, region, or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine; (b) any jurisdiction where registration, bonding, or other regulatory requirements would apply to this Program, including but not limited to Quebec (Canada), Italy, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, and Sweden; or (c) any jurisdiction where this Program is prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers, and directors of F5 and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and household members of each are not eligible to participate. Participants who are government officials or employees of state-owned enterprises are not eligible to participate. The Program is subject to all applicable federal, state, national, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
2. Program Period
The Program begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on March 10, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on April 7, 2026 or when the first three (3) qualifying responses have been received, whichever occurs first (the "Program Period").
3. How to Participate
To participate, eligible participants must send an email to f5labs@f5.com to indicate their interest. F5 and its partners will then conduct pre-interview questioning to identify potential interviewees based on our sole discretion. Selected potential interviewees will be directly contacted via the email they provide to discuss the time, method, and length of the interview. Each participant may submit only one (1) email per person, regardless of email addresses used. Expressions of interest must be valid, unique, and complete as determined by F5 in its sole discretion. A "valid, unique, and complete expression of interest" means an email that: (a) clearly indicates an interest in conducting an interview with F5 and/or its partners for the purpose of soliciting user experience information; (b) is submitted by a unique individual using a unique email address; (c) contains intelligible text (not random characters or nonsensical text); and (d) is submitted in good faith for legitimate feedback purposes. F5 reserves the right to verify participant identity and to disqualify multiple submissions from the same individual.
4. Incentive
The three (3) prospective interviewees who are selected and complete an interview during the Program Period will each receive one (1) $50 USD gift card (or a gift card in the approximate local currency equivalent) (the "Incentive") delivered electronically to the email address provided. Gift card availability and provider may vary by country. F5 reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the specified gift card is unavailable in the participant's country, or to provide the prize value via an alternative payment method where gift card delivery is not feasible. Approximate retail value ("ARV") of each Incentive: $50 USD. Total ARV of all Incentives: $150 USD. Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer. Gift cards will not expire for at least five (5) years from the date of issuance, or such longer period as required by applicable law. No fees will be charged for at least twelve (12) months from issuance, or such longer period as required by applicable law. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except as required by law. Gift card terms, conditions, and any applicable fees are available from the gift card issuer. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced.
5. Verification and Notification
Potential recipients will be verified for eligibility. F5 reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not meet eligibility requirements or whose email does not meet the criteria for a valid, unique, and complete expression of interest. Qualified recipients will be notified via email at the email address provided in their survey response within approximately seven (7) business days after the end of the Program Period or after their qualifying interview is verified. If a potential recipient cannot be contacted within five (5) business days of the first notification attempt, or if the Incentive notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential recipient may be disqualified and the Incentive may be awarded to an alternate recipient.
6. General Conditions
By participating, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of F5, which are final and binding in all respects. F5 reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Official Rules or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. F5 reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program if fraud, technical failures, pandemic, government action, war, civil unrest, or any other factor beyond F5's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Program. In such event, F5 may award Incentives from among all eligible responses received prior to such modification, suspension, or termination. F5 is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected responses; technical errors; unauthorized human intervention; failures or delays caused by internet service providers or telecommunications networks; or failures of any kind.
7. Release and Limitations of Liability
By participating, participants release and hold harmless F5 and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the Program or acceptance, possession, or use of any Incentive. Released Parties are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, offering, or announcement of any Incentive or in the administration of the Program.
8. Data Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with this Program (including name, email address, company affiliation, and interview responses) will be used for Program administration and as described in F5's Privacy Policy available at https://www.f5.com/company/policies/privacy-notice. The legal basis for processing is F5's legitimate interest in administering this Program and, where required by applicable law, participant consent. Personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where F5 or its service providers operate; where required, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses. F5 will retain personal information for the duration of the Program and for a reasonable period thereafter as necessary to fulfill legal and business obligations. By participating, participants consent to F5's collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information for these purposes. Subject to applicable law, participants may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port their personal information, or to object to or restrict processing, by contacting F5 as set forth in the Privacy Policy. Participants in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland may also contact F5's EU representative at the address set forth in the Privacy Policy. Participants may opt out of receiving marketing communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email or by contacting F5 as set forth in the Privacy Policy.
9. Publicity
By accepting an Incentive, recipients consent to F5's use of their name and general geographic location (city and country/state/province of residence) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
10. Tax Reporting
Recipients are solely responsible for any applicable taxes on Incentives, including but not limited to income tax, value-added tax, or other levies imposed by their jurisdiction of residence. F5 may be required to issue tax forms or withhold taxes in accordance with applicable law.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
Except where prohibited by applicable law, participants agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Program shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate federal or state court located in King County, Washington, USA, and participants consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. These Official Rules and all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or principles.
Local Law Variations; Severability. Participation in this promotion constitutes agreement to these Official Rules. If any provision of these Official Rules conflicts with applicable local law, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to comply with such law. If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable local law, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to comply with such law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. This promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by local law, and residents of such jurisdictions are not eligible to participate.
This survey is not intended to influence any business decision or improperly favor F5. Government officials at the federal, state, or local level, as well as individuals affiliated with government‑owned or government‑controlled entities, are not eligible to participate due to restrictions in receiving policies. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their participation and acceptance of any gift comply with their organization’s rules and required approvals. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROGRAM, PARTICIPANTS AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF F5.
