Anand (Andy) Athreya

Anand (Andy) Athreya is the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at F5, where he leads the company's global engineering organization, driving technical excellence and innovation across F5's product portfolio.

A deeply technical leader with a passion for building world-class engineering culture, Andy brings over two decades of experience delivering complex systems at scale in networking and security. Prior to F5, he served as CEO and Managing Director of Tejas Networks, where he led a major business transformation and oversaw one of the world's largest 4G/5G deployments. Before that, Andy spent nearly two decades at Juniper Networks, where he rose from a director of engineering to EVP and Chief Development Officer and led the Juniper’s global engineering organization consisting of industry leading networking silicon, systems and software.

Andy received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, a master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University and an MBA from National University. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds several networking-related patents.
