Most organizations recognize the potential of artificial intelligence to unlock productivity and accelerate innovation, but many have been slow to implement AI deeply into their enterprise systems and processes.
According to a 2025 report by Thompson Reuters, three in 10 professionals say their organizations are moving too slowly on AI adoption, and four in 10 organizations are adopting AI without a strategy. Lacking a coherent gameplan and a trusted technical, governance, and security framework to guide planning and implementation of enterprise-scale AI, many organizations are hesitating to deploy AI into embedded, business-critical systems and enterprise workflows, and risk missing out on the advantages of strategically integrated AI.
As of January, 2026, just such a strategic framework is now available. World Wide Technology (WWT) has announced its AI Readiness Model for Operational Resilience (ARMOR). ARMOR is a vendor agnostic AI security framework delivered by WWT, leveraging a jointly built approach with NVIDIA and strengthened through real world collaboration.
The framework sets a new standard for secure, scalable, and responsible AI adoption across industries, and can help empower organizations to accelerate AI adoption confidently while ensuring robust security, compliance, and operational resilience
“F5 technologies have been validated across the ARMOR framework, so organizations can count on F5 to simplify and expedite their strategic AI journey with proven products and solutions.”
F5 has collaborated with WWT to align its products and solutions to the ARMOR framework, ensuring that F5 technologies are validated to deliver the performance, governance, and protections outlined by ARMOR. This provides assurance to customers that their AI investments will transform business and operations without incurring risk.
“Seamless, comprehensive security is critical to address AI’s expanded attack surface, which extends from chip-to-cloud across multiple ecosystems,” said Istvan Berko, Global Head of AI Security and Cyber Innovation at WWT. “F5 technologies support ARMOR’s end-to-end security model with industry-leading products and solutions that embed intuitive defenses at every layer, ensuring organizations can adopt AI swiftly and confidently, unlocking AI’s full potential to fuel innovation.”
A critical foundation for enterprise AI
Many organizations feel an urgent need to start implementing AI in their infrastructure and workflows, but lack a clear, practical blueprint for how to proceed purposefully and ensure that development proceeds along with best practices, thought leadership, and strategic insights. Unless engineers have real-life experience building out AI infrastructure and deploying it at scale, most simply don’t know what they don’t know about AI, a situation that runs the risk that critical aspects, such as security and governance, are neglected or overlooked.
There are few if any vendor-neutral, step-by-step blueprints for implementing AI at enterprise scale, and most that exist are focused on assembling infrastructure components for compliance, not for security, performance, and governance.
ARMOR’s great value is that it gives an organization actionable guidance for building robust AI capabilities that are designed and executed correctly from the outset. It’s also significant that ARMOR’s framework was developed by WWT, one of the world’s foremost technology solution providers and a leader in enterprise-level AI deployments, along with NVIDIA, the global leader in AI processing hardware and software. Organizations can trust the guidance provided via the ARMOR framework because these industry leaders have first-hand expertise in successful, strategic AI implementations. ARMOR is also deeply aligned with industry standards like the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) AI Risk Management Framework.
While ARMOR provides vendor-agnostic insights, F5 technologies provide validated solutions across the framework, so organizations can count on F5 to simplify and expedite their strategic AI journey with proven products and solutions.
F5 has also collaborated with WWT to create the AI Proving Ground, a lab environment in the WWT Advanced Technology Center where customers can build, test, train, and implement AI solutions using F5 technologies. The AI Proving Ground offers IT teams a hands-on opportunity to evaluate and test AI infrastructure, software, and solutions for efficacy, scalability, and flexibility—all under one roof—while providing visibility into data flows across the entire development pipeline.
F5 addresses ARMOR’s seven security domains
ARMOR is built around seven domains that encompass the most important areas of security in modern, AI-driven environments. F5 provides products and solutions that support each domain across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployments.
- Governance, risk, and compliance. This domain ensures AI systems follow regulations, company policies, and ethical guidelines. F5 helps organizations monitor and control AI traffic, prevent data leaks and misuse, and apply consistent security and governance rules across all applications and environments.
- Model protection. Keeping AI models and applications safe from misuse, theft, and manipulation is the focus of this domain. F5 helps test models for security weaknesses, block harmful or abusive interactions at runtime, and protect AI services anywhere they operate, even at the AI inference edge.
- Infrastructure security. This domain secures the underlying systems that run AI, from data centers to cloud platforms and edge deployments. F5 helps protect network boundaries, control access to AI services, and provide visibility and segmentation to reduce risk across shared infrastructure.
- Secure AI operations. Ensuring AI systems can be monitored and protected in real time without disrupting performance is the purpose of this domain. Multiple F5 technologies provide AI-driven analytics to provide actionable insights into the performance and security of AI workloads. F5 helps teams detect threats earlier, reduce false alarms, and gain clear visibility into how AI applications are behaving across large, distributed environments.
- Secure development lifecycle (SDLC). This domain builds security into AI systems from design through deployment. F5 supports automation, testing, and policy enforcement aligned with SDLC governance and change control, so security is applied consistently as AI applications are developed, updated, and scaled.
- Data protection. Keep AI data safe, accurate, and compliant. F5 helps organizations protect data in transit, ensure reliable connections between AI infrastructure, and support recovery and resilience planning.
- Cyber resilience. This domain ensures organizations can continue operating and recover quickly when incidents occur. F5 helps make recovery processes repeatable and testable, giving organizations confidence that AI systems can withstand disruptions and evolve safely over time.
