F5 unveils new tools to accelerate secure enterprise AI with Red Hat

F5 Ecosystem | March 10, 2026

Many organizations face significant technical and operational obstacles as they attempt to deploy AI applications into enterprise-scale production. According to McKinsey’s The State of AI in 2025, nearly 90% of survey respondents stated that employees in their companies regularly use AI productivity tools and agents, but their organizations have not yet embedded AI deeply into their enterprise systems and processes, with major AI initiatives still locked in the experimentation or piloting phase.

In truth, the challenge for many organizations isn’t starting an AI pilot, it’s finishing the AI journey, with many organizations struggling to move beyond proofs of concept (PoCs) to confidently deploy AI into embedded, business-critical systems and enterprise workflows.

F5 has announced two newly developed technologies with Red Hat to help organizations address these challenges. Unveiled at AppWorld, F5’s flagship application delivery and security conference held in Las Vegas, these innovations provide a practical, secure path from AI experimentation to production-ready deployments, helping organizations accelerate secure, enterprise-level AI adoption.

Red Hat OpenShift Operators for F5 AI security

F5 has announced a certified Red Hat OpenShift Operator for two key F5 AI security products, F5 AI Guardrails and F5 AI Red Team. Certified Red Hat OpenShift Operators have undergone rigorous testing by Red Hat to verify they meet a high standard of security, interoperability, and lifecycle management to help customers scale deployments. For customers, validated integrations enable smooth deployment automation with Red Hat OpenShift AI, a leading AI application development platform with tools to automate the creation, configuration, and management of AI-enabled applications.

Red Hat OpenShift Operators help reduce operational friction by integrating AI security directly into the Red Hat OpenShift AI platform using familiar Kubernetes workflows to enable consistent enforcement across environments while minimizing deployment complexity. Customers can find the new Operator directly in the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog here.

The Red Hat OpenShift Operator for F5 AI Guardrails enables integration for directly embedding capabilities to mitigate risks like data leakage, harmful outputs, and adversarial threats, with comprehensive runtime security for AI models and agents. The Red Hat OpenShift Operator for F5 Red Team delivers adaptive, agent-based testing to simulate adversarial attacks, proactively uncovering vulnerabilities and validating attack resilience and performance across the AI environment.

This integrated capability from F5 allows teams to address AI risk earlier in the development lifecycle while maintaining consistent security controls as AI applications move toward production.

F5 delivers Red Hat AI quickstarts for virtual testing

Red Hat AI quickstarts actualize designs and PoCs for key AI use cases to help companies move past initial complexities and open the door for rapid development of enterprise-grade AI applications. AI quickstarts are virtual AI deployment blueprints delivered via the Red Hat AI quickstart catalog, and include standard reference designs, deployment instructions, and thorough descriptions.

With AI quickstarts, customers can see Red Hat partner technologies, including F5’s, working in concert with the Red Hat OpenShift AI platform in lab-type environments, allowing them to visualize the AI factory technology stack and get a real-world understanding of how the various technologies all work together. Here, they can simulate F5 use cases and “kick the tires” to better understand the value that both Red Hat and F5 bring to AI data factory deployments.

The first AI quickstart from F5 is available now, allowing customers to secure AI-powered financial services applications against injection attacks, shadow APIs, and abuse while safeguarding sensitive financial data.

F5 will soon add more AI quickstart use cases to make the AI deployment experience iterative and modular, with F5 providing a series of fully validated and tested blueprints and reference designs that customers can experience in a virtual environment as part of an end-to-end AI workflow. This will help them move secure, enterprise AI applications more quickly toward production.

F5 and Red Hat: A robust, secure foundation for AI

Together, the Red Hat OpenShift Operators and AI quickstarts can be used to reduce operational complexity, accelerate deployment timelines, and help enterprises apply industry-leading AI security controls with less friction.

Customers can have confidence that solutions from F5 can ease technical and organizational complexity while increasing manageability and security with tested, repeatable approaches that lower the barrier to security AI adoption.

Red Hat and F5 have a long history of technology collaboration, and by relying on optimized platform integrations and the AI quickstart testing model, F5 provides a proven foundation for acceleration of AI adoption across the enterprise.
