In his session at NGINX Conf 2018, Charles discusses different architectures for adopting microservices, including the NGINX Microservices Network Architectures. He examines these architectures in the context of both migration of existing monolithic applications and "green field" applications. He covers best practices for determining how to couple microservices, and explains how to use NGINX to ensure that the microservices are loosely coupled. In addition, he looks at some of the advanced features of NGINX Plus within a microservices architecture, with a focus on service discovery, load balancing, health monitoring, and security.
