DataSpring Launch Innovative Data Center to Expand Reach and Impact

Leading cloud and IT service provider DataSpring has teamed up with SafeDX and leveraged F5 technology to launch one of the most innovative data centers in the Czech Republic.

Business Challenges

DataSpring, which is currently experiencing 25% monthly growth for its core cloud services business, is focused on delivering cutting-edge cloud and related IT services, meeting the challenge of a growing market demand for scalability, agility and security.

It has established itself as one of the most cutting-edge ICT service providers in the region through helping businesses become more efficient, innovative and profitable. Clients include names like Sazka, Konica Minolta, OpenOne, Cleerio, Copy General, Diebold Nixdorf, Cleverlance, CK Fischer, MND, Mart, Media Servis, Tarsago, SAS, Xura, KKCG and SazkaMobil.

Solution

The project focuses on delivering cutting-edge cloud and related IT services with market differentiating scalability, agility and security.

Based in Prague, the new data center complements DataSpring’s existing Tier III-certified facility in Luzice, South Moravia. The latter runs one of the fastest Microsoft Azure private cloud platforms in Europe and is also one of the first data centers in the Czech Republic to deploy Cisco Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI).

“DataSpring is entering an exciting new phase of growth, particularly as businesses increasingly look to Middle and Eastern Europe due to cost, workforce skill and time-to-market,” said Zdeněk Honek, Sales Director, DataSpring.

“By running two innovative data centres in the Czech Republic, we are able to significantly increase our ability to enhance existing services and pioneer new offerings. The market for public and private cloud services, which is our main service, is just beginning."

F5® BIG-IP® virtual editions (VEs) are central to DataSpring’s expansion project, enabling the rapid and safe provision of application services across the data center and into the cloud. VEs are virtual application delivery controllers (vADCs) that can be deployed on all leading hypervisors and cloud platforms running on commodity servers.

In addition, F5's iControl REST API enables full integration with DataSpring’s highly customized orchestration and monitoring systems. This automation integration capability, coupled with its ability to quickly instantiate in a virtual machine environment, offers the highest levels of scalability and reliability, enabling DataSpring to extend and customize the platform for each customer deployment.

Benefits

“Our business is all about trust and reliability,” added Honek.

"Customers no longer want to maintain their own hardware. Instead, they see the value in partnering with a company like DataSpring that can offer the reliability and expertise they seek, from Infrastructure-as-a-Service and SQL-as-a-Service to back-up, recovery and beyond.

F5 helps us keep pace with our ambitions and gives us the horizontal and vertical scalability and flexibility that our customers demand. We also benefited from the company’s strong partnerships with Microsoft and Cisco, which helped deployment go smoothly, as well as its robust and rapid local customer support."
