It's that time of year again when the scent of pumpkin spice is everywhere, and we reach out to solicit your input on the State of Application Services and the trends/technologies that shape them.
This is our sixth year, and over time we've seen the incredible rise of containers, the rapid adoption of automation and orchestration, and the inevitable impact of cloud sprawl across the globe. Our understanding of the role of application services in an increasingly application-centric business world has grown considerably thanks to the thousands of respondents who take time to respond every year. Respondents that include a robust set of technology related roles that offer us insights into just how different - and similar - roles across IT are when it comes to delivering, deploying, operating, and securing applications.

This year our survey is focusing on the rise of the app economy, automation, and the continuing impact of cloud on the deployment and operation of application services. One of the best things about answering this survey (aside from earning my eternal appreciation) is that your responses are a respected input in shaping F5 future strategy.
This year we're asking about strategic trends impacting you and your organization, security challenges, and the state of automation and orchestration in your current role.
We're also digging into your current and future plans with respect to over thirty different application services as we seek to understand where you're deploying them and what form they're taking. Are you deploying ingress control as a containerized solution on-premises? In a public cloud? What about API gateways or application access control?
Your responses are very important to me, personally, and to F5. We genuinely want to hear from you.
So if you could take ten minutes of your valuable time out to share your perspectives, opinions, and plans we'd really appreciate it.
Looking forward to hearing from you on what matters most to your future!
