Threat Stack is now called F5 Distributed Cloud App Infrastructure Protection (AIP). It is a SaaS solution that secures your cloud-native infrastructure by delivering high-efficacy alerts for workloads. This solution combines rules and supervised machine learning to detect threats, vulnerabilities, risks, and attacks in real time across the entire infrastructure stack, including cloud provider APIs, virtual machine instances, containers, and Kubernetes.

What was Threat Stack?

Threat Stack was the leader in cloud security and compliance for application infrastructure, helping companies securely leverage the business benefits of the cloud with proactive risk identification and high-efficacy risk and threat detection across cloud workloads. Threat Stack’s application infrastructure protection helped organizations improve operational efficiency by bridging the gap between security, development, and operations.

Threat Stack also provided security offerings leveraging human expertise. Threat Stack Insight will now be known as Distributed Cloud AIP Insights. Threat Stack Oversight is known as Distributed Cloud AIP Managed Security Services. Together, these in-house Security Operations Center (SOC) human-led analysis and response services provide 24/7/365 monitoring of cloud environments.

How Does F5 Handle Threat Stack

In tandem with F5 Distributed Cloud Services, including Distributed Cloud Web Application and API Protection (WAAP), Distributed Cloud AIP (formerly known as Threat Stack) will help organizations quickly and efficiently detect and respond to known risks, anomalies, and vulnerabilities, at scale and throughout the environment, while staying in compliance.
