F5 has underlined its commitment to the UK defence sector and service personnel by officially signing the Armed Forces Covenant (https://www.armedforcescovenant.gov.uk/).
The signing ceremony was led by Jon McKellar, UK & Ireland Country Lead at F5, alongside Group Captain Simon Briggs (RAF), Assistant Head of Reserves Employer Engagement at the Ministry of Defence.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a national pledge to ensure that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly. By signing the Covenant, F5 has committed to tangible actions that go beyond words. These include offering Reservist employees additional days of paid leave to support training requirements, appointing an Armed Forces Champion within the organisation, and continuing to foster a global employee inclusion group (https://www.f5.com/company/diversity-inclusion) for military veterans.
“As an employer we support our people in all aspects of their lives,” said McKellar. “By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, we commit not just to recognise the current and former service members on our team, but also to actively facilitate the work of F5ers who perform a vital public service as Reservists. We’re proud to support our people who serve, and this reflects our long-standing partnership with the UK defence sector.”
The signing builds on F5’s recognition earlier this year with the Bronze Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The ERS acknowledges employers who go the extra mile to support service personnel, veterans, and their families.
By joining the growing list of UK organisations pledging support, F5 reaffirms its role as an employer that values the skills, experience, and commitment of the Armed Forces community both within its own workforce and across the wider sector.
