F5’s Karl Triebes Honored by Seattle Business Magazine as CTO of the Year

Award recognizes outstanding leadership in guiding growth, profitability, and innovation

F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) today announced that Chief Technical Officer Karl Triebes was named CTO of the Year in Seattle Business magazine’s 2015 Executive Excellence Awards.

The third annual Executive Excellence Awards recognize executives who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and guided their organizations through growth, profitability, and innovation. Recipients were selected by a panel of executive judges from companies and organizations across Washington state.

“Karl Triebes was honored for playing a critical role in the success of F5,” said Leslie Helm, editor of Seattle Business magazine. “In the past year, he has been pivotal in the company’s push to expand its application delivery capabilities in security, cloud, and software defined networking.”

Triebes has 24 years of experience as a technology executive and has served as CTO and EVP of Product Development for F5 since 2004. He has grown F5’s product development team by over 400 percent, expanded product offerings into new markets, and guided interoperability with strategic partner technologies. Furthermore, Triebes has been a key thought leader and speaker in the industry and has served on the board of directors for the Washington Technology Industry Association since 2009.
