Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Security, Trust, Assurance, and Risk (STAR) Certification

The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing. It is the world’s leading organization committed to awareness, practical implementation, and certification for the future of cloud and cybersecurity.

The Security, Trust, Assurance, and Risk (STAR) certification is a rigorous third-party independent assessment of the security of a cloud service provider designed to enhance transparency and build trust between cloud providers and their customer thus providing an additional layer of confidence in cloud security practices. This technology-neutral certification leverages the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 management system standard together with the CSA Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM). This certification demonstrates the cloud service provider's commitment to maintaining a robust information security management system (ISMS) tailored for cloud environments.
