Just how secure are your apps?
F5’s Anticipate 2016 event happening in Singapore on 18-19 May at St Regis Hotel will take a close look at this pertinent issue.
Security today is primarily centered on protecting the network and the devices connected to it. But we all know this is no longer enough. We are now in a new era where apps are the doorway to data.
Today, applications are everywhere. There’s an app for just about everything, and this is great because it means organizations can drive greater productivity, meet demands, and ultimately achieve competitive edge. Users from within and outside the network can access applications located anywhere – from public cloud to private data centres.
The flip side? As organizations deliver more and more sensitive data through applications, they’re introducing ever increasing risk to the organisation. There’s less visibility and control for the organization, and cybercriminals are taking advantage of this, targeting the identities and apps themselves.
At Anticipate, we’ve gathered industry thought leaders from within and outside F5, who will deep dive on how the security landscape is evolving rapidly, and the traditional security perimeter is no longer enough given the existence of new threats and rise in application deployments.
Event highlights
- Analyst Keynote by Frost and Sullivan about Anticipating the next Security Frontier with The 3 Cs: Conversation, Control and Convergence
- Sessions that look at Securing Apps, Protecting Brands
- Industry viewpoints from Ministry of Finance of Indonesia, FireEye, CIMB (full name please) and Catholic Education South Australia
We live and work in an application economy with data the new currency. Consumer-led work styles and mobile-first approaches have paved the way for anytime, anywhere access to data. Applications and access to those apps are becoming the new perimeter and protecting them defines the future state of security.
